Over the last few years I’ve collected flower petals, leaves and seeds to make little images of fairies, babies, goddesses and little girls. The plant material came from my gardens in Minneapolis and later Portland, and from Kew. They are made with pencil, watercolor and pressed flower petals, and archival glue and papers. They’ve been a good way to keep my hands busy when I need to make something but don’t have a long enough peroid to work on large paintings.
