Extremely slow growing, this tiny tree makes a wonderful bonsai specimen or rock garden plant. It puts out tiny, wrinkled leaves, growing to 1 foot tall in 20 years. It has corky bark and is deciduous. Hardy in USDA zones 5 to 9.
