First ask at a local independent garden center. Many take 'special requests' and can order a plant for you if any of their vendors carry it. It's always nicer to see a plant in person before purchasing, but second option would be to order online. Greer Gardens in Eugene, Oregon might have it. http://www.greergardens.com/

You might also like Rhododendron 'Blue Baron' (one of it's parents is 'Starry Night'), or Ocean Lake. These may be easier to find.

I recommend checking out any mail or internet company you might order a plant from on Dave's Garden's Garden Watchdog site. http://davesgarden.com/products/gwd/

Today I asked MW's Plant of the Day, and this Rhoddie was named, for I have been putting it in designs and more has been ordered as a result. I regret having said it cannot be the plant of the day, of course it can be his.
